While capacitive touch screens are great, one flaw is the inability to use a stylus. Not anymore! BoxWave’s Capacitive Stylus allows you to use your iPad without ever touching the screen with your finger.  Perfect for the ladies out there who have their nails done, or for those who don’t want to take their gloves off during a cold day. The Capacitive Stylus is conveniently sized, and designed like a pen to fit just about anywhere.

Not sure if I am being fair to the pen but I was expecting to be able to ‘free write’ like on a piece of paper or a palm pilot and it sure is nothing like this.

The pen is nice enough and works but the precision and size of the end of the stylus is not suitable for free writing. Works well as a point and click device and if that’s what you’re buying it for, you will be pleased. Otherwise it’s a waste of money.

May be the iPad screen is not ’sensitive’ enough for this type of use in the first place?

I bought my iPad with the intention of Taking organized digital notes. I was disappointed with a rubber tip stylus and read very mixed reviews about the pogo stick. The reviews i’ve read about the Boxwave pen were consistently good. So I decided to get one. It arrived in the mail today. So I took it to work and … I just love it! I use the pen with the Note Taker application. The combination is great for taking notes. I’ve been taken notes all day long with my iPad today. Did i mentioned that I love it? I would recommend this pen too anyone. Well worth the money!

As another reviewer said, this product is superior to the Pogo Sketch.

The BoxWave has a more solid design. The clip at the top is metal, not plastic. The pen itself feels sturdier.

The tip design is superior, too. Instead of a black sponge for the capacitive surface, the BoxWave has a firm, balloon-like tip. It’s basically a hollow, dome-shaped piece of rubber (or rubber-like material). It seems sturdy enough.

It allows you to write at an angle, which was a problem for me with the Pogo. You don’t have to press hard at all for your iWhatever to register contact. Sometimes I had to push a little using the Sketch.

This is a great stylus for the Ipad. It has a semi firm tip and doesn’t feel like it will wear out any time soon. It is a bit short (5-6 inches) but it’s not short enough to really effect anything. I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a stylus.
